I Failed...

I Failed...

Many Business Leaders and Coaches turn to me when they want to create the next great accomplishment in their business. The thing is they don’t know how many times I failed; in coaching that’s called self-management.

The truth is I was so task oriented early on in my career that I pushed people too hard. As a result of those actions their talents started to diminish. This ineffective method of pushing myself to accomplish all the things on my to-do list, started at an early age.

As a teenager, I worked as a popcorn girl at AMC Theaters. One rainy day, as I was driving my Chevelle SuperSport (SS) and I pushed the pedal too hard and drove, well flew actually, right into a slippery canal. Luckily, a kind gentleman stopped to help me out of that murky canal. That car will forever be missed.

Consequently, this was one of a series of valuable lessons that led me to considerable training, like Heart-Based Co-Active coaching that helped me learn from many mistakes. I found out that there are many others just like me; people that know there is more to life than a compelling to-do list. These types of people, would rather fail in order to learn who they really are rather than stay stuck by not trying something new; trying something new is something that we appreciate in Co-Active coaching.

In fact in Co-Active coaching we praise failure. Why? Because without taking a minute to self-reflect, we can’t see our own Super Powers (we can’t see our Kryptonite either, but that’s a different story). So when you’re looking at your task list in the morning or wake up at 4am like me, ask yourself this, “What would feel like a win today?”

Just like a SS, the impact we’re wanting is a powerful, agile, swift, high octane being; one that can carry us to our destination with dizzying speed, and be a lot of fun to drive too. Just as important like a Chevelle SS we must know our limits and create a livable plan. Otherwise we might spin out of control and plunge into our own murky canal.

Which brings me to the idea of a SuperSportTM Leader, what do you know about your Super Powers? How do you want to be seen, and heard? How can you tap more powerfully into the leadership of others? How will you make a positive impact in your personal and professional environment?

These are the questions we answer during the SuperSportTM series. Contact me to book a SuperSportTM Strategy Session, or call us at 866-630-6334 and we will gladly book an apportionment for you. Metaspire Consulting works with Driving Business Leaders who want to create their next generation of accomplishments. Our work is 100% guaranteed; we will develop achievable plans with our clients or our work with them is free.
